The York County Tech Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 52-29 defeat to Fairfield might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to York County Tech of the 42-24 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 9th.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Meaza Hower, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Hower pulled down eight or more rebounds.
York County Tech has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Fairfield, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
York County Tech will be playing at home against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kennard-Dale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Fairfield, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
