Baseball Recap: Corcoran Wins Going Away Against Orosi

While Corcoran put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Orosi. Corcoran blew past Orosi 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Corcoran got a big performance out of Cortez Portillo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave Portillo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Corcoran's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Orosi, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season.
