Philipsburg-Osceola gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Central Dragons 48-24. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mountaineers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 390th, while the Dragons are ranked 98th).
Philipsburg-Osceola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Demarcus Law, who rushed for 144 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD. Law's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Colton Chapman also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards.
