Marist came tearing into Thursday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the North Springs Spartans as they made off with a 17-2 win. Considering the War Eagles have won 20 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Marist's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for North Springs, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-19.

Marist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Springs, they will take on River Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
