Given Hanford's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Lemoore is ranked 939th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kenyah Stubbs was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hanford's points. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Lockett, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks.
Hanford's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Lemoore, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanford will challenge Dinuba at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Dinuba is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Lemoore, they will head out on the road to take on Tulare Union at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tulare Union is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
