Make it 13 blowout wins for the Frontier Titans this season. They blew past Stockdale 55-29. Given Frontier's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Stockdale is ranked 1063rd), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frontier's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexis Tinnin, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Tinnin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lailene Araniva, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Stockdale's loss came despite strong showings from Priscila Salazar and Ashley Wilson. Salazar scored ten points, while Wilson scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season.
Frontier pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Stockdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Frontier will be playing at home against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stockdale, they will head out on the road to challenge Independence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
