 At the plate, Canyon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Henry Almaraz, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Canyon was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valencia only posted a  batting average of  .160.
 Valencia pushed their record up to 10-10-1 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Canyon, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record  this season.
 Valencia will have a chance to go back-to-back against Canyon: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
