The Crawford Colts had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Sweetwater by a score of 45-35 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crawford also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Crawford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samitioata Fidow, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fidow has scored all season. Fatuma Abdi was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Crawford's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-13. As for Sweetwater, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Crawford will challenge the Rattlers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sweetwater, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Lancers at 6:30 p.m. Hilltop will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
