The York County Tech Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 51-24 loss at the hands of Biglerville. York County Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
York County Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Faith Atwater, who scored five points along with three blocks, and Hailey Anderson who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season.
Claire Roberts continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Biglerville, almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierney Weigle, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
York County Tech has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Biglerville, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
York County Tech will head out on the road to challenge Littlestown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Littlestown is on a three-game streak of home losses, York County Tech a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Biglerville will take on York Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. York Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Biglerville in Pennsylvania (York Catholic is ranked 72nd, while Biglerville is ranked 306th).
