Thacher is 0-4 against St. Bonaventure since March of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Toads will head out on the road to square off against the Seraphs at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Thacher had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Valley Christian Academy on Thursday. The Toads put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 9-1 victory.
Meanwhile, while St. Bonaventure put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Channel Islands. The Seraphs were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Seraphs, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Cooper Masterson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Luc Beauchemin was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Wyatt Richardson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
St. Bonaventure hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.
Thacher's record now sits at 3-0. As for St. Bonaventure, their record is now 9-3.
Thacher couldn't quite get it done against St. Bonaventure in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 8-5. Can the Toads avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
