Basketball Recap: Laguna Beach Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

If Loara wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Laguna Beach, they should've done a better job of containing Fiona McCormick. The Breakers really took it to the Saxons for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-25 victory with plenty of help from McCormick, who posted 16 points. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

The win made it two in a row for Laguna Beach and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Loara, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Laguna Beach won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Huntington Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loara, they will venture away from home to take on Katella at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
