Lansdale Catholic has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the West Catholic Burrs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lansdale Catholic is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Burrs in Pennsylvania (the Crusaders are ranked 20th, while the Burrs are ranked 125th).
Last Friday, Lansdale Catholic came up short against the Patriots and fell 44-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lansdale Catholic has scored all season.
Meanwhile, West Catholic had to suffer through a rough 65-34 loss at the hands of the Vikings. West Catholic has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ciana Blake, who scored seven points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Nyla Coleman, who scored eight points.
Lansdale Catholic dropped their record down to 13-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for West Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Everything came up roses for Lansdale Catholic against the Burrs in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lansdale Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
