Volleyball Recap: Hoover Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Hoover dropped to 13-17 on Thursday, ending the team's five-match streak of wins at home. They came up short against the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Buccaneers have suffered against the Yellowjackets since November 1, 2017.

Hoover's loss came despite strong showings from Addison Jenkins and Cheyenne Conner. Jenkins had 12 assists and six digs, while Conner had nine digs. Jenkins has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last five times she's played.

As for McGill-Toolen, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory they have posted against Hoover since November 1, 2017.

McGill-Toolen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Smith, who had 11 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Smith a new career-high in assists (five). Payton Mcclarren was another key player, getting ten digs and one assist.
