Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lutheran

Lutheran entered their tilt with Cheyenne Mountain on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Red-Tailed Hawks get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Annie Schroeder looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Lutheran lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheyenne Mountain didn't launched any home runs.

Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran will head out to challenge Rock Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will challenge Sand Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
