Lincoln dropped their record down to 20-8 on Friday, which also ended the team's 13-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Hilltop Lancers by a score of 7-6. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

As for Hilltop, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-17. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Hilltop's part, Jake Yaptangco looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
