The Blanco Panthers waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Comfort by a score of 44-34. That's another feather in the cap for Blanco, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Blanco had a senior duo take command as Isabella Mitchell scored 20 points along with three steals and Mina Broyles dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Broyles is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Capshaw, who scored no points along with six assists.
Blanco has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-16 record this season. As for Comfort, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Blanco will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Brady will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Comfort will take on the Buffaloes at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Florence has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
