La Jolla has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but La Jolla ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against Desert Christian Academy by a score of 48-41. The team accrued 29 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
La Jolla's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Drew Bennett, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Reagan Bennett, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Olivia Snider, who scored five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Canyon Hills beat Preuss UCSD 32-19 on Monday.
La Jolla's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Canyon Hills, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
La Jolla skirted past Canyon Hills 40-38 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will La Jolla repeat their success, or does Canyon Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
