For the second straight game, Academy for Academic Excellence will face off against Silver Valley. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Academy for Academic Excellence has seven straight wins, Silver Valley has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Academy for Academic Excellence's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Silver Valley. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kameron Walker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Academy for Academic Excellence is 4-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Walker was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nathan Rudd, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Academy for Academic Excellence is undefeated when Rudd posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Knecht, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Academy for Academic Excellence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.
Academy for Academic Excellence's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Silver Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Academy for Academic Excellence has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Silver Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
