After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Justin-Siena, the Sonoma Valley Dragons were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They managed a 60-56 victory over Casa Grande. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Sonoma Valley to victory were Hudson Giarritta and Will Breall. Giarritta scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Breall scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelo Cano, who scored five points along with two steals.
Sonoma Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Casa Grande, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-16.
Sonoma Valley will face off against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Napa is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Casa Grande, they will be playing at home against the Crushers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vintage has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
