Even though the Greater Johnstown Trojans have not done well against the Richland Rams recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Greater Johnstown took down Richland 46-30. The win made it back-to-back wins for Greater Johnstown.
When it comes to explaining why Richland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lanie Marshall. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with eight rebounds and eight blocks. Marshall is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Richland struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Greater Johnstown back to even at 6-6. As for Richland, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Westmont Hilltop the next time they take the court. Richland will head out to face Westmont Hilltop at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Greater Johnstown will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
