Liberty Ranch is 10-0 against the Wolverine since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Liberty Ranch Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Rosemont Wolverine at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Liberty Ranch had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past El Dorado 60-40. 60 seems to be a good number for Liberty Ranch as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Liberty Ranch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Haley Smith out in front who scored 15 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Smith has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Sophia Felix was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Rosemont on the road against the Warriors on Friday as the team secured a 60-25 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rosemont.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 22-5 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Rosemont, their victory bumped their record up to 11-16.
Everything came up roses for Liberty Ranch against the Wolverine when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 73-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty Ranch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
