Last Thursday, Academia Avance took a serious blow against Collins Family, falling 63-17.
Dibanhi Sanchez was Academia Avance's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Samantha Chan held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, East College Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 27-21 to Alliance Bloomfield. East College Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Academia Avance's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.7 points per game. As for East College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Academia Avance was able to grind out a solid win over East College Prep in their previous matchup back in January, winning 29-21. Will Academia Avance repeat their success, or does East College Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
