The Beaumont Cougars and the Hoover Cardinals will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Beaumont is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
On Thursday, Beaumont was beaten by Mater Dei 92-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beaumont has scored all season.
Payton Joseph put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vince tracy Capuras, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Hoover didn't have too much trouble with Indian Hill on the road on Thursday as they won 51-35. The victory was just what Hoover needed coming off of a 95-65 loss in their prior match.
Beaumont's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Hoover, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
