The Adelanto Saints entered their tilt with the Serrano Diamondbacks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Adelanto narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Serrano 35-32. For Adelanto, this counts as revenge for the 38-35 defeat Serrano walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Adelanto's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nina Lacy, who scored eight points along with 19 rebounds. Lacy is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanzy Richard, who scored five points.
Adelanto has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Serrano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adelanto won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Vasquez at 1:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Vasquez will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Serrano and Hesperia will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hesperia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
