Hiram dropped down to 5-5 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Cartersville Hurricanes and fell 50-7. The Hornets were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the four contests prior), but the Hurricanes' defense proved too tough.

As for Cartersville, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Braylon Hill was his usual excellent self, rushing for 137 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Russell, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes.

As of now, neither Hiram nor Cartersville have any future games scheduled.
