Windsor faced Columbine in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wizards sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-3  victory over the Rebels. The  win was nothing new for the Wizards as they're now sitting on five straight.
 Jenna McGinnis spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Emma Hungerford, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run and two  RBI. Those  RBI were  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Kylie Smith, who  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Columbine,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
 Coincidentally, Windsor and Columbine will both be playing Golden the next time they take the field. The Wizards will head out to face the Demons at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday, while the Rebels will play them later in the day, at 1:15  p.m.
