Make it 13 blowout wins for the Rio Linda Knights this season. They breezed by Casa Roble on the road to the tune of 66-21. The victory was nothing new for Rio Linda as they're now sitting on five straight.
Rio Linda's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but LaRay Mitchell led the charge by scoring 15 points along with eight steals. Mitchell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyrri Mitchell, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.
Rio Linda is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Casa Roble, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Pioneer the next time they take the court. Casa Roble will head out to face Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Rio Linda will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
