That makes it four consecutive games in which Valentine has scored at least a third of Scripps Ranch's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katrina Purcell, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Otay Ranch was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Central 57-30. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 26 points or more this season.
Otay Ranch's win came from a few key players Scripps Ranch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mackenzie Daffron, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Carter, who put up seven points in addition to six steals and five boards.
Otay Ranch was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only racked up four assists.
Otay Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Scripps Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Scripps Ranch has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Otay Ranch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
