The Sequoia Ravens kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by Pinewood 68-21.
Pinewood was led to victory by Vallory Kuelker and Alex Facelo. Kuelker scored 24 points along with 5 steals, while Facelo scored 17 points along with 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Betti Hamori, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Sequoia's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Pinewood, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Sequoia will head out on the road to face off against South San Francisco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinewood will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Los Gatos at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th.
