The Friendly Patriots and the Largo Lions will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Friendly suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 71-40 loss at the hands of Douglass. Friendly has struggled against Douglass recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Largo unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Gwynn Park by a score of 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Friendly now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Largo, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2.
Friendly took a serious blow against Largo in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 73-38. Can Friendly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
