The Sierra Timberwolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Central Catholic 61-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sierra.
Sierra's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Gilmore led the charge by scoring 20 points along with two steals. Gilmore is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Everett, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samantha Nichols, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Allie Abbate, who scored eight points.
Sierra is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Central Catholic, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.
Sierra will play host again and welcome Kimball, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Kimball focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Central Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Central Catholic: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while East Union has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.
