In what's become a running theme this season, the Leland Chargers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lincoln a 3-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Leland also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-2 record this season. As for Lincoln, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season.
Leland will head out on the road to challenge Ann Sobrato at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ann Sobrato's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 12 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leigh has three straight victories, Lincoln has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
