The Blacklick Valley Vikings can now show off 18 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harmony Area 68-17 on the road. Blacklick Valley is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Leading Blacklick Valley to victory were Kristin Szymusiak and Kaydence Killinger. Szymusiak dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals, while Killinger dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Killinger has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tressa Fatula, who scored six points along with three steals.
Blacklick Valley pushed their record up to 21-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Harmony Area, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Blacklick Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 12:00 p.m. on February 17th. Blacklick Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Turkeyfoot Valley Area likes a good challenge. As for Harmony Area, they will head out on the road to square off against Philipsburg-Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Philipsburg-Osceola has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
