The West Valley Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Central Valley, posting a 72-29 win at home. That looming 72-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Valley yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayla Wiley, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deja Ortiz, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
West Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Central Valley, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Valley will stay at home for another game and welcome Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Central Valley will take on University Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
