Oley Valley has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Antietam Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Oley Valley is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Antietam in Pennsylvania (Oley Valley is ranked 139th, while Antietam is ranked 600th).
Last Monday, Oley Valley earned a 43-32 win over Brandywine Heights Area.
Meanwhile, Antietam's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Tulpehocken at home and fell 48-14. Antietam has struggled against Tulpehocken recently, as their game on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Oley Valley pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Antietam, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Everything came up roses for Oley Valley against Antietam in their previous matchup back in February as the team secured a 53-10 win. Will Oley Valley repeat their success, or does Antietam have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
