The Orange Glen Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Liberty Charter Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Charter took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Orange Glen, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Orange Glen earned a 5-1 win over Pacific Ridge.
Jacob Morales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Francisco Duran was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Isaac Martinez was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 26 runs the game before, Liberty Charter was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coastal Academy.
Isaac Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off nine home runs and nine triples while going 18-for-2. Another player making a difference was Andruw Godinez, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Liberty Charter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Orange Glen, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Orange Glen has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Liberty Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Orange Glen came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty Charter when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Orange Glen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
