Sherman Oaks CES' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Northridge Academy with a sharp 20-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.
Matthew Perez was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Garrett Arch looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, Sherman Oaks CES got a massive performance out of Nikola Petrinac, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Petrinac a new career-high. Judah Sapong was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Sherman Oaks CES always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge Academy only posted an OBP of .308.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Fulton was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Canoga Park, falling 13-2. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Hunters recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sherman Oaks CES, their record is now 4-1.
