The Moreno Valley Vikings will challenge the Valley View Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Valley View took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Moreno Valley, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Moreno Valley had just enough and edged out Orange Vista 8-6. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
E. Alferez tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, C. Logan was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Vazquez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Poly.
Valley View saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deavon Mahoney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Moreno Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Moreno Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Valley View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Moreno Valley beat Valley View 6-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
