 In other pitching news, Elbert County got a great performance from  Haven Adams as he  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and not a single walk). Adams also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because the Blue Devils are 13-3 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 6-7 otherwise.
 Back at the plate,  Jose Rodriguez was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Branson Bonds, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Elbert County's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Commerce, their loss dropped their record down to 5-22.
