The KIPP King Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 54-9 victory over Oakland Charter at home. That 54-9 margin sets a new team best for KIPP King this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead KIPP King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasmine Bertucci, who scored 19 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bertucci has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nikki Li, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
KIPP King has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-2 record this season. As for Oakland Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
KIPP King won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oakland Unity at 4:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Oakland Charter, they will be playing at home against Latitude at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
