The Germantown Academy Patriots came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Hill School by a score of 54-43. That's another feather in the cap for Germantown Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hill School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayleigh Ludwig, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sammie Faella, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Hill School struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Germantown Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Hill School, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
Germantown Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Baldwin is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Hill School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
