It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sachse Mustangs can now relate to. They lost to Rockwall-Heath on the road by a decisive 56-42 margin on Friday. Sachse's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brenden George, who threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. George has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Brendon Haygood was another key contributor, rushing for 220 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Sachse's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Rockwall-Heath, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Sachse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rockwall-Heath will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Duncanville at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Duncanville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 487 points over their last ten matchups.
