After flying high against the Guajome Park Academy Frogs on Thursday, the Kearny Komets came back down to earth. Kearny lost to Patrick Henry on the road by a decisive 45-27 margin on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kearny in their matchups with Patrick Henry: they've now lost eight in a row.
Patrick Henry found their leader in underclassman Ally Mangahis, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Honey Smith, who scored 8 points.
Kearny's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Patrick Henry, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 1-6.
Kearny will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against High Tech SD at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Patrick Henry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
