St. Joseph Notre Dame lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Malia Musson, who scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Musson scored 15 or more points. Isabella Corral was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arroyo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Chan, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Chan pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sophia Lopez, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
St. Joseph Notre Dame has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Arroyo, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.
St. Joseph Notre Dame will challenge Encinal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arroyo won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hayward at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th.
