The Buena Park Coyotes can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against La Habra as Buena Park made off with a 67-47 win. Given Buena Park's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while La Habra is ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Buena Park was led to victory by Bella Harmon and Gloria Barrera. Harmon dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Barrera dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Barrera hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Mya Barnes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Buena Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for La Habra, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buena Park will take on Troy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for La Habra, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sunny Hills at 5:30 p.m.
