The Immaculate Mustangs were the 47-32 winner over the Pomperaug Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Immaculate took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Thursday. Immaculate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Immaculate's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendra Foy, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Foy hasn't dropped below four steals for four straight games. Jenna Saidman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Immaculate's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Pomperaug, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kolbe-Cathedral the next time they take the court. Immaculate will head out to face the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
