The Bishop Diego Cardinals put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Dunn at home to the tune of 54-10. Considering Bishop Diego has won three matches by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Galilea De la cruz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 10 points. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addison Velazquez, who scored 6 points.
Bishop Diego has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-0 record. As for Dunn, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Bishop Diego won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Valley Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Valley Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 969th, while Bishop Diego is ranked 162nd). Dunn will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laguna Blanca at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
