Burwell won the last time they faced Newman Grove/St. Edward and things went their way on Saturday too. The Longhorns came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Regan Smith paced Burwell's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Brookelyn Gideon and her 17 assists. Katelynn Simon controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Burwell's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Newman Grove/St. Edward, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.
