Basketball Recap: Tulare Union's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Tulare Union entered their match against Dinuba on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tulare Union The Tribe received a blow as they fell 59-43 to the Dinuba Emperors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the The Tribe this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-38 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Tulare Union lost, don't look at Kailee Gilbert. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gilbert a new career-high in points. Jazzlynn Miller was another key player, putting up four points and 11 boards.

Even though they lost, Tulare Union smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dinuba to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kathryne Forbes, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Forbes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jalissa Espirito, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Tulare Union's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12. As for Dinuba, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Tulare Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 38-32 win against Tulare Western on the 23rd. Dinuba has also already played their next contest, a 55-30 victory against Mission Oak on the 23rd.
