The West Branch Warriors's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took down Juniata Valley 50-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Branch also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
West Branch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erin Godin, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Godin has scored all season. Jenna Mertz was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Despite the loss, Juniata Valley still got an impressive performance from Kassidy Watson, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Russell, who scored seven points.
West Branch's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6. As for Juniata Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Branch the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. Juniata Valley will take on Everett at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
